“Nature’s Edge” Debuted Monday, September 24 on ABC News NOW Digital Network with Interview with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon

From climate change to the extinction of species to the loss of nature in our lives, "Nature's Edge," will examine the latest in global warming, environment news and explore all manner of stories in which nature and human nature meet. Hosted by ABC News Correspondent Bill Blakemore, the premiere program featured an in-depth interview with UN Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, who discussed just how serious the global warming crisis is. Ban Ki-Moon says on "Nature's Edge," "We must take action now before it is too late. I'd like to appeal to all of the American citizens and viewers that each and everyone must try to understand this urgency and try to change their individual way of living in addressing this environment and global warming issue. That will make a difference. That is what I am appealing to all of you."

A"Nature's Edge" debuted on ABC News Now Monday, September 24 and airs Mondays at 8:35am and again at 4:15pm and at 7:35pm EST. "Nature's Edge" on ABC News Now will be available exclusively on broadband, cable and mobile channels and segments will be available anytime on demand. Bill Blakemore has spearheaded ABC's coverage of global warming, traveling from the tropics to polar regions to report on the impact and dangers of climate change, as well as possible solutions for it. He helped create ABC's new multi-platform exploration of global warming in TV, Internet, podcast, radio and print formats. Mr. Blakemore began focusing on global warming when he was finishing his 27-year coverage of the entire papacy of Pope John Paul II and a string of wars stretching back 35 years to 1970 when he joined ABC News.
