ABC News NOW’S “Good Morning America NOW” Presents a Special Edition on Coronary Artery Disease “On Call: Heart Disease”

According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the #1 killer in America. A special edition of ABC News' "Good Morning America NOW," "On Call: Heart Disease," which aired today on ABC News NOW, the network's 24-hour news and lifestyle network, takes an in-depth look at Coronary artery disease. Hosted by ABC News Medical Editor, Dr. Tim Johnson, the special edition of "GMA NOW" examines the differences among heart diseases; how to detect heart disease, the best testing methods and who is most at risk; differences between men and women and why the rate of heart disease is so high; various treatment options and screening and heart disease prevention.
Including advice from two leading heart doctors, Dr. Lori Mosca and Dr. Nieca Goldberg, the special also features noted author Gail Blanke, who suffers from Coronary artery disease and her husband, producer and screenwriter, Jim Cusick, who is at risk of heart disease. The special also incorporates "Talk Back" videos from viewers suffering from Coronary artery disease.
